Infrared (IR) spectroscopy is an analytical technique used to identify and quantify the vibrational modes of molecules. It exploits the absorption of infrared radiation with matter, providing a unique signature of molecular structure. IR spectra are obtained by passing an light through a material. The reflection at different wavelengths is then an
